Contrast vision Tumbling "E" charts are useful for many different applications. Tumbling "E" test can be used for testing multiple kinds of patients. Testing can be widened from standard patients to patients that may be illiterate, mute or not familiar with the Roman alphabet. Also, testing contrast sensitivity helps to identify early or progressive signs of vision loss or diseases. Also, contrast sensitivity testing is useful for monitoring LASIK surgery effects. The Tumbling "E" vision test is nearly equivalent to the Landolt "C" vision test and is considered very reliable and repeatable.
