• NOTE: CAT. NO. 2425 ETDRS Illuminator Cabinet is necessary with this chart.
PV Numbers contrast sensitivity test uses an ETDRS format. This means that each line includes 5 optotypes. Also, since PV Numbers have been calibrated to Sloan standards, each line should have an equal difficulty and each optotype should also be equally difficult. This feature makes the PV Number contrast eye test an accurate and well calibrated way to test patients' contrast sensitivity.
