All 10% Low Contrast on both sides Wording may differ from picture.
Near Point card uses a 10% contrast on both sides of the test. This tests for low contrast sensitivity while using a continuous text design. This design helps to simulate everyday situations, like reading the newspaper. Conventional, high-contrast letter chart acuity captures only one aspect of visual performance. Low contrast acuity is equally important for activities of daily living, since most everyday objects have less than black-on-white contrast, are larger than the smallest letters seen on a letter chart and are seen at various intermediate distances.
