Each Illuminator Cabinet uses 2 lamps and it is recommended that both lamps be replaced at the same time. Each lamp must be used with our fenestarted sleeve to bring the light level to our specifications. Cabinets manufactured after November 2008 have lamps which include the fenestrated sleeve mounted onto each lamp. Order this for replacement in cabinets that do not have removable metal sleeve on the the lamps.
Cabinets manufactured before November 2008 have a removable fenestrated sleeve which is placed over the lamp. Replacement lamps for those cabinets are Catalog No. 2427.
Replacement lamps are used specifically for large ETDRS Illuminator Cabinet (Cat. No. 2425). Lamps provide florescent lighting which incorporate high efficiency and a longer life. Lamp provides an accurate and uniform illumination of approximately 759 lux that helps in dependable vision testing.
Lamp life is rated at 9000 hours. However when this cabinet is used for research purposes its recommended that the lamps be replaced annually.
