Contrast vision ranges from patient to patient and to keep an accurate record, each patient should be tested on a regular basis. By testing regularly, and maintaining an accurate record, detection of diseases becomes very easy. Also, if a patient undergoes surgery such as LASIK, post surgery testing will also be more accurate when accompanied with a record of contrast sensitivity. Contrast sensitivity is as important during routine eye exams, as acuity vision testing.
